Born & raised in New York City, he was greatly inspired by the King of Blues, BB King and was given the name “Tony O” by his mentors and good friends, Howlin Wolf and Hubert Sumlin.

He was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues album with Pinetop Perkins on Telarc Records, which included Tony O’s original song, “Blues O’ Blues”.

Tony O, formerly of The Legendary Blues Band aka Post Muddy Waters Band, has toured and recorded with LBB, Jimmy Rogers, Hubert Sumlin, James Cotton, Pinetop Perkins and many other Blues legends.
