The New Approach is a band that is focused on bringing the audience into the now. Hailing from different parts of Brooklyn, Wiley Bartels, Alex Coman, Tong Cherd, and Dominick Gregoretti make up the quartet.

Starting as a collaborative writing effort between guitarist Dominick Gregoretti and the ever so creative drummer Wiley Bartels, the band continued to grow its sound while experimenting with different players. Bringing in Tong Cherd on the P bass to extend and deepen the band’s groove and eventually, finally adding the expressive saxophone of Alex Coman to the group.

The New Approaches main interest is capturing a feeling and telling a story through live performance. Influenced by styles such as Rock, Blues, and Jazz the band fuses these sounds together while always keeping a deep and dance-able groove. Interested in discovering new ground through live improvisation the audience will be taken on a unique ride that will have them expecting the unexpected.

The New Approaches first singles will be available in late 2021 and early 2022 and are continuing to book shows in the Manhattan/ Brooklyn area.
